Café Floral, Barranco

Café Floral opened its doors on September 13, 2025, in Barranco, and from the moment you walk in, its identity is clear: everything revolves around a floral concept. Fresh flowers, soft colors, and natural details create a light, calm atmosphere. The coffee bar greets you right at the entrance, setting the tone of the space, and next to it there’s a small stand selling flower bouquets — a simple touch that adds to the overall experience from the start.

The shop is spacious, filled with natural light, and offers different types of seating, so it works well for different plans. You can come with friends, as a couple, or on your own with a laptop without feeling rushed. It’s pet friendly and designed for staying a while. Part of the space also functions as a modern art gallery, and they occasionally host workshops related to art and floristry, giving the café a more creative and community-driven feel.

Coffee plays a central role in the concept. They serve espresso-based drinks as well as filter methods, so you can choose between something more intense or a cleaner, more aromatic cup. At the same time, the menu includes floral-inspired options like lavender and rose lattes, where the aromas complement the coffee without overpowering it. Classic drinks are also available, making it easy for both adventurous drinkers and those who prefer the basics.

The floral idea continues throughout the rest of the menu. There are lavender and strawberry-rose ice creams alongside traditional flavors, and toasts with combinations like rose jam or chamomile with honey. To drink, we ordered a slightly tangy pineapple juice and a pink strawberry lemonade, both refreshing and perfect for the afternoon. For food, the standout was the roast beef on sourdough toast with pickles and mustard — well balanced, satisfying, and easy to enjoy at any time of day.

Overall, Café Floral is a comfortable space with a clear concept and thoughtful details. It’s a good spot to slow down, catch up with friends, or work for a while while enjoying a well-prepared cup of coffee in a relaxed setting. The kind of place you walk into out of curiosity and end up staying longer than expected.
