Larcomar, Miraflores

Wonderful sea views while shopping high end stores.
Wonderful sea views while shopping high end stores.

Larcomar sits along the Miraflores boardwalk, built into the cliff with a direct view of the Pacific Ocean. It’s an open-air shopping center where the sea is part of the experience as you move from one store to another.

It opened in 1998 and today brings together more than a hundred brands. In fashion, you’ll find international names like H&M, Mango, GAP, Bimba y Lola, Skechers, and Puma, along with local shops offering clothing, accessories, and alpaca pieces. There’s also tech, including iShop, plus smaller boutiques that round out the mix. It’s not massive, but there’s enough variety to easily spend a few hours without it feeling overwhelming.

The dining scene is one of its strong points. Restaurants like Mangos and Tanta make the most of their oceanfront terraces, and there are more casual spots and cafés if you just want something quick. With a movie theater, a theater venue, and direct access to the boardwalk, you can easily turn it into a full afternoon plan.

Sunset changes everything. The light drops over the ocean, the sky turns warmer, and people slow down to watch the horizon. It gets lively, but it still feels comfortable enough to walk around and enjoy.

After a temporary closure in 2025 for structural safety inspections following an earthquake, it reopened and now operates normally. Stores typically open from late morning through the evening, and some restaurants stay open later.
