Mó, Miraflores

Mó in Balboa is a spacious café, something that isn’t always easy to find in Miraflores. The terrace is large and genuinely changes the feel of the place. It doesn’t feel cramped or overly noisy, even when it’s busy. Natural light comes in throughout the day, which makes the space more pleasant overall. It’s somewhere you can stay without feeling uncomfortable because of the layout or the crowd.

The coffee is well prepared and clearly handled with care. The americano was solid, and the cappuccino was balanced, with a good proportion of coffee and milk. Nothing felt overpowering or off. It’s good coffee — straightforward, but thoughtfully made.

The menu also includes chai, rooibos with orange, and house sodas like strawberry with rosemary or pineapple with cider lemon. There’s enough variety to go beyond traditional coffee without overcomplicating the options.

As for the food, the concept centers on local ingredients and combinations that move away from the usual basics. However, within the overall experience, the coffee and the space stand out more than the kitchen. The food wasn’t the highlight of this visit.

Overall, Mó Balboa stands out primarily as a comfortable place to go for coffee and stay awhile. The space is its strongest point.
