San Oxampampino, Centro de Lima

San Oxampampino is located in Downtown Lima and works with coffee they produce themselves in Oxapampa, Pasco. This isn’t just a café buying beans from somewhere else; they have their own farm and grow coffee at high altitude, between 1,800 and 2,100 meters above sea level. That direct connection to origin defines what they do.
The coffee comes from Finca San Alberto in Peru’s high jungle region. Altitude plays a big role in the final cup: it tastes clean, balanced, and well developed. They work with varieties such as Geisha, Bourbon, Typica, and Caturra, often scoring between 85 and 88 points. Beyond the number, what stands out is the care behind the product.
They also hold organic certification and collaborate with SERNANP to support the protection of Yanachaga Chemillén National Park, which adds an important sustainability component.
The space itself is simple, rustic, and comfortable. It doesn’t try too hard. It’s a good place to pause in the middle of downtown’s movement.
On the table: half a campechano sandwich, cut into four equal pieces, filled with shredded chicken, mayonnaise, ham, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Well served and easy to share. Alongside it, a cappuccino and an Americano both balanced and enjoyable.
The natural juices, mango and pineapple were the only point to improve. The mango needed a bit more sweetness, and the pineapple felt slightly watered down. Not a deal breaker, but something that could be refined.
Overall, it’s an honest concept: coffee with a clear origin, solid flavors, and a straightforward experience.
