Guanacoffee Peru Review

With an authentic concept and a cozy atmosphere, this spot in Pueblo Libre has become a must-visit for those who appreciate specialty coffee.
The coffee is the true star: it comes from the Santa Cruz farm in Camporedondo, Luya, Amazonas, and is cultivated with dedication by Wilmer Santa Cruz and Hilda Córdova, who put all their effort each year into producing beans of exceptional quality. This work is carefully valued by the owners of Guanacoffee, Cristopher Piedra and Gabriela Casanova, who ensure these coffees are sourced responsibly and respectfully, guaranteeing that every cup tells the story of the farmer.

The menu offers specific preparations such as espresso, latte, flat white, cold brew, and single-origin pour-overs using methods like V60, Chemex, and French press, each highlighting different nuances: fruity and acidic notes, sweeter flavors, or a full-bodied profile depending on your choice. The staff not only prepares each cup but also recommends the method best suited to your taste and explains the characteristics of the bean and the farm, making the experience both educational and personal.
In May, Guanacoffee will celebrate its second anniversary, and its quality has been recognized as part of South America’s 100 Best Coffee Shops, a distinction that reflects its commitment to excellent coffee. Guanacoffee is not just a place to have coffee; it’s a space that connects the work of the farm with those who value quality and authenticity in every sip, inviting visitors to return and recommend it to all coffee lovers.
