The Parque Combate de Abtao is located in the heart of San Isidro’s financial district. Around it, you’ll find corporate buildings, restaurants, banks, and cafés where there’s always movement. However, once you step inside, the pace shifts. The space is well maintained, with tall trees, neatly kept green areas, and benches placed throughout the park.
It’s a park that feels harmonious. There’s plenty of natural shade, but also areas where the sun comes through. You can tell it’s consistently cared for, which makes the atmosphere pleasant at any time of day. It’s not empty or overly quiet; it’s an active yet calm spot within an area that’s usually intense.
At the center stands the monument to Manuel Villar Olivera, a figure linked to the 1866 naval battle against Spain that gives the park its name. That historical detail adds character and context to the space, a reminder that even in the middle of a modern financial district, there’s history and memory.
It also includes playground areas and open spaces where families and visitors use the park throughout the day. It’s functional and naturally integrated into the daily life of the district.
It’s one of those parks that doesn’t compete with its surroundings, but complements them. In the middle of concrete, it offers green. In the middle of rush, it offers a shift in pace.

Calle Las Camelias 290, San Isidro
